What an amazing end to the season with ALL eligible Colts sides making the finals. Such a wonderful achievement.
Our Stage 3 team will be at Morpeth Oval while our Stage 2 Teams play against each other at Gresford oval.
Please head on down to support our Colts as they play their hearts out to make the Grand Finals.
Good luck to all teams, may you play in the spirit of great “ Coltness”. We are proud of you all no matter the result.

Stage 2 Blue
What a great finish to the regular season today against the claro/terrace side.
We lost the toss and were sent into bat
Seeing our openers get us off to a solid start linc 6 and Coop I 6
We then rolled through the overs to be 53 at drinks.
That’s when the big guns came out
Seeing Coop C Taylor and Tyler all finish on 19 not out, our other big scorers were Lillie on 9 runs, finishing us on 5/123
Then we had a bowl
Seeing our best bowlers end up with figures of Coop I 2/9, Nic 1/6, Tay 1/7
Our stand out today was our fielding with 3 run outs and serveral feilding efforts that saved crucial runs which helped us bowl claro/terrace out for 7/90
But the biggest highlight of the day was this photo of our coach/umpire enjoying his ice block between balls whilst officiating the second innings.

Today the stage 1 boys and girls took on the warriors at Vacy after a Friday night swap from the Kurri ground. Harrison won the toss and elected to bowl. With the cloud cover, moisture in the ground and a damp pitch the ball was swinging more then the 30s and skidding on past the bat. Great slid field to save 4s lead be Billy. Billy and Dougal had the other team rattled with there pace. The family duo of Lawson and Ebony got us off to a great start and was well supported by all especially Oliver and Billy. The boys and girls ended up winning by 34 runs. Player of the match went to Billy

With bags packed and flights booked, stage 2 Gold took off for Mulbring to take on a strong Kurri side.
With the flip of the bat our skipper D-man(Daniel) won the toss and elected to bat.
Our batting was solid but unfortunately Kurri's bowling was on point and we managed to put up a total of 52. With D-man 9 runs from 30 balls and Paul McCartney(Albie) 12 runs from 11 balls our major contributors.
With a lowish total, the spirit amongst the team was not lost.
With some outstanding energy in the field and some great bowling efforts, the boys made it hard work for Kurri to pick away at our total. But in the end Kurri managed to get the runs. The pick of our bowlers was Geoffrey(Levi) with figures of 1 fa 1 of 2 overs.
The boys did well to keep themselves in the game, and I think some lesson were learnt in an attractive looking loss.

Another great day and another great team performance. The u10 stage 1 boys and girls traveled to Johnston reserve for a match against the bulls. Dougal Blundell started us off with some perfect bowling back up by a family of booths with Bridie and Oliver all bowling maidens to start the first three overs. Billy Barwick started with the gloves and took a great catch. With all the boys chatting in the field it was great to see them having fun and only bowled 10 wides. All of the boys and girls batted great and hit the balls that were there to be hit. Player of the match was Oliver Booth who not only lead the chat but bowled 3 overs for no runs and 1 wicket. Also he had 2 run outs and 10 runs off his 13 balls.

In Particular the Smiths, Biddles, Kijko’s, Ineson’s, Drablow’s, Benbow’s and Bergman’s on car parking and the Uren’s and Evans on the small dog races.
All your help made for such a great day and truly appreciated.

They are having a Cricket rego day/pre season get together on Sunday 10th September at the Beatty, 12:00pm for a 12:30pm lunch. Gresford Cricket club will pay for lunch & get a few schooner cards.
